Summer Financial Aid

How do FSU students apply for financial aid for Summer 2024 session?

  • Submit a 2023-2024 FAFSA
  • Enroll in at least 6 hours for summer term.

What types of financial aid are offered for Summer 2024?

Based on your current eligibility, you may qualify for:

Pell Grants

Summer Pell grants will disburse in the following manner:

  1. If enrollment is session A, C and F ONLY, then summer Pell will disburse at the beginning of term and then adjust after the end of drop/add for any changes to your enrollment.
  2. If some enrollment is in sessions A, C or F and some enrollment is in session B, then summer Pell will disburse beginning at the beginning of session B.
  3. If all enrollment is in session B only, then summer Pell will disburse at the beginning of session B.

 

Bright Futures

Summer Bright Futures will disburse in the following manner:

  1. If enrollment is in session A, C, and F ONLY, Bright Futures will disburse at the end of Drop/Add if you have enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  2. If enrollment is in sessions A, C or F with some enrollment is in session B, and your enrollment prior to session B is less than 6 credit hours, then Bright Futures will be disbursed after the end of Drop/Add for session B if at that time you have a total enrollment of at least 6 credit hours.
  3. If enrollment is in session B only, then Bright Futures will disburse at the end of Drop/Add for session B if you have enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  4. Please note: Bright Futures will be adjusted for any classes dropped after you were disbursed. If payment is made during session A, C or F for a session B class and that class is dropped, even prior to the start of term, Bright Futures will be adjusted.
