Early Disbursement Policy

Traditionally FSU has disbursed aid at the end of the Drop/Add period for each term, but starting in 2015, students may be eligible to receive their disbursement for some types of aid prior to the start of the term (the week before the term starts).

To be eligible, students must:

  • have a complete financial aid application on file (no outstanding documents)
  • be enrolled/attending at least the minimum number of hours for the aid to be disbursed (generally no less than 6 credit hours but some types of aid require 12 credit enrollment)
  • Not be on Satisfactory Progress hold or subject to Academic Plan review
  • for Stafford loans - loans must be ACCEPTED through the myFSU online award page and Master Promissory note and Loan Entrance Counseling must be complete at StudentLoans.gov. For instructions, visit the Loan Action page.

Please make sure to complete Direct Deposit Enrollment with Student Business Services. For more information, visit Student Business Services.
